Mission Statement

My name is Mark Sterkenburg and I am the owner and main instructor for A Plus Driving Lessons. I have trained for 3 1/2 years at Callahan’s Driving School in Bethlehem. I have completed over 1000 lessons and have a 99% passing rate on the PA driver’s exam. My ambition is to slow down the process for my students and make sure that they are getting the same instructor to build a rapport with as they journey towards getting their license. I am currently a teacher at Nazareth Area Schools and have been for the past 18 years. I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Hope College and a Master’s Degree in Education from DeSales University. My background in education has kept me able to guide, instruct, and connect with young people learning to drive. I believe in my ability to develop confidence in my student’s driving, building a rapport with them to get over fear and anxiety, and thoroughly reporting feedback to the parents on their strengths and weaknesses along the way.
