Mission Statement

My name is Mark Sterkenburg, and I am the owner and lead instructor at A Plus Driving Lessons. With more than four years of experience in the driver education industry, I have successfully completed over 1,300 driving lessons and have helped my students achieve a 99% passing rate on the Pennsylvania driver's license exam.

My goal is to slow down the learning process, ensuring each student develops the confidence, skills, and experience necessary to become a safe, capable driver. I believe every student learns differently, and I take pride in creating a patient, supportive environment where they can grow at their own pace.

In addition to teaching driving, I am a teacher at Nazareth Area School District, where I will begin my 20th year this fall. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Hope College and a Master's Degree in Education from DeSales University.

My background in education has given me the ability to effectively teach, guide, and connect with individuals ranging from 16 to 75 years old. Whether a student is excited to get behind the wheel or feels nervous about driving, I am committed to helping them overcome fear and anxiety while building the confidence they need to succeed. My greatest satisfaction comes from watching students grow into safe, confident drivers and helping them achieve the independence that comes with earning their license.
